Sally Robinson

Founder and Director

Sally has a Master of Teaching (Primary) from Monash University in Victoria. She has experience working in child care, Foundation (Pre-Primary), Year 2 and as a casual relief teacher. Not one to sit on her hands, prior to launching Discovery Time she worked full time in the legal industry while studying full time and babysitting for 6 years. Sally fell in love with the Reggio Emilia style of education while teaching at a beautiful, progressive, International Baccalaureate school in Victoria and was lucky enough to be sent to the Sydney Annual Reggio Emilia Conference in 2016. And so was born a dream - for all Australian children to experience the magic of Reggio based learning. After moving back to Perth in 2019, Sally has worked hard to build the foundations for Discovery Time. Her son, William, has inspired her to take the dive into creating this space for the children of Perth to access quality, play based learning. You'll often find Sally working on yet another artistic project like upcycling the dining room table or making wooden toys in the backyard when she should be doing her accounting!
